Sucky Eagle news update for the week

Working ATRs up there! Eagle has always had a huge MTX base up there, leftover from the Simmons days when Simmons Airlines was HDQ up there. (I was Simmons when I was hired in 1995.) When Eagle ceased ops at the MQT airport, they used SAW. We didn't take revenue pax to SAW, but we did load up with commuters, Simmons guys who lived up there. Sometimes we'd go direct from ORD to SAW, sometimes we'd go from GRB to SAW, then pass through GRB again and pick up pax on our way back to ORD.

We stayed at the Red Fox Inn, which was a fancy name for the former officers quarters on the base. The windows usually leaked, in order to keep the room temp above 50 you HAD to make use of the space heater in the closet. Two rooms shared a bathroom, though they never put anyone in the rooms adjacent when we stayed there. Temps would freeze your eyebrows off... but the people up there are the damn nicest people you'll ever meet.

How do you know what a judge sees? Go rain on somebody else's parade. Kicking Eagle pilots when they're down isn't helping anyone. We all know the situation ain't exactly pretty. But we're not gonna sit here and stare at our shoes, either. Buzz off.

Wow...

Lol

They should just add this:

-All pilots will be assigned to an American Eagle mobile RV unit, 6 pilots per unit, or 2 families per unit. Mandatory to live in these units when not on duty and never allowed to stray more than 40 miles from your home Airport ring, no exceptions.
-Pilots will be tracked with electronic ankle cuffs and automatically tazed if they leave their 40 mile ground ring.
-RV driving time between airports will be "unpaid"
-Fuel for the RV will be at pilots expense.
-$5,000 mx fee's will be automatically deducted from each pilot yearly for mandatory RV maintenance.
-RV driver training will be required 7 times a year at the pilots expense, failure will result in termination and a report to DMV.
-Make and model of the company assigned RV will be at company discretion but nothing newer than 1980 will be provided.
-Driver will be required to a wear his company approved hat when operating the RV
-FO's are not authorized to do circle to park or reverse backing of the RV under any circumstances, this is a Captains only maneuver.
-RV Rent will be payroll deducted at $1900/month or $5,000 per family.
-Any changes to any policy in the contract will be at "company discretion" whenever we deem it necessary
-Starting 2013, all pilots will be no longer be compensated for flying, pilots will be billed their old hourly pay rate from 2012 each hour for the privilege of maintaining their current seat. We feel this is necessary to remain profitable in these tough times. We understand this will be a challenge but we know you are up to the task. Please remember to remain professional in these tough times.

Sounds like the Helicopter side of the industry. Not usual to complete hitch from a trailer. Times are changing..

I preferred the dumpy old Red Fox Inn officer quarters we use to stay at. They use to have a car we could use until some crewmember put it in a ditch. I always got my crappy doughnut in the fridge left for me, had a pilot bar with pizza next door. what else do you need?

The new Holiday Inn that we've been at for a couple years now sucks. Smells like Chlorine and Rat poison. Plus it's a 30 minute drive through the snow into town with the crazy taxi drivers who jam us all into a tiny Prius and can't stay on the road.

The Red Fox was minimalist, but I had no issues there. I always found the people at the Red Fox to be quite nice.

Before the Red Fox we stayed at some Holiday Inn. It was an 80's vintage Holiday Inn near some pizza place that I forget the name of now. That's where I walked into a mirror in the middle of the night... Might be the same place they put you guys at!

I just spent 4 days there. Flying the CRJ in my jeans!

You been around since the Simmons days?

I was hired in Nov 1995 and flew my last trip with Eagle & taught my last Eagle class at the schoolhouse in Feb of 2001, was in class with AA in March.

I'm not sure where Tony Martins went after he got canned at Eagle - but he most likely had a huge favor done to him. That has to burn Eagle guys.
Tim Martins is indeed at Commutair and once again a member in good standing with ALPA. He was eligible for CA but the company put him on a 6 month admin hold. KInda makes you throw up in your mouth a little huh?

For those of you not aware of the ridiculousness of this guy, see here:

I would spit in his face if I ever saw it. People that take away from the valor of those who have served make me sick to my stomach.

Maybe he's changed? I don't know, but I don't think I need to hold a grudge against someone I've never even met. I hope he learned important lessons, and if so, I hope he has a good career.

...hold a grunge...

You gotta let this go. This is so old...

People gotta move on and you have to let him move on as well...

Not sure how he gets an ATP, since he is not of good moral character.

I think its we all work so hard, and are held to this high standard, and then find out someone does something like this, and is still flying, still hired, and might soon be a captain somewhere else. Guess with pilots like this, management has no reason to pay us well.
