Finally

I’ve been a mostly lurking member of this forum since 2006, when I thought I’d get out of the Army after my time and go head long into aviation as a career.

Life goes as it does, but here I am 18 years almost to the day and I finally soloed for the first time yesterday after 13ish hours.

Probably going to be a business/family travel and hobby for me, but I’ve got a brother at Southernjets. This has been a great community to live anonymously and somewhat vicariously through.

Well done! It's probably the hardest thing in flying to do. Not that I really remember mine, but I absolutely remember all of them I've signed off :)

Everything after it is pretty easy.

Good deal. You'll find it useful even if flying low IFR isn't your thing. Think of all those days when the ceiling is awkwardly hanging at 1500 but everything else is fine.
