I'm Terminal....Jan. 12th, 2009. My FOL is on the way and I e-mailed back 2 of the 3 forms that my HR rep sent me as I have no prior Fed service to claim.
I am pretty sure all the people with dates are enroute....
HR reps must have received a list from ato with enrouters on it....

I finally got a hold of my HR rep and she told me I was completely cleared for a class date and that she had sent me an email about a Jan 14th class date. However she had my wrong email. I dont know how she had the wrong email because I have gotten everything they've sent. In any case she set me up with a Jan 14th class date just still waiting on the FOL there were a few forms she needed me to fill out. So if it happened to me it could happen to anyone...make sure your HR reps have your correct email. Otherwise you may be missing out already.

My HR Rep is out of the office until tuesday. I left a email for when she gets back...maybe I can get lucky..... Besides I would love a nice OKC Date as early XMAS gift.......Unfortunately rumor has it that February dates for ZNY are booked already

I'm guessing people are just getting interim clearances for security. In an ideal world I'd like to be full cleared (For real real) before heading to OKC... but I think for en route that may take a while... oh well.
March will actually be good for me, although I could have done a February date. Looks like all the ZNY peeps from here might end up in the same class together.. March 4 and March 26 are in the course catalog... then there is nothing. Maybe it will update soon with April and beyond...

My HR rep sent me an email today saying that my tentative June 8th, 2009 class date has now been switched to July 1st, 2009, and asking if I was OK with it...should I have been honest or polite? haha.
I miss that LIFE board game - it's so much more fun than the real thing. There should be a spot you land on that says "FAA Academy Class Date - Pick a LIFE tile!" Did you ever notice that you can have multiple children on multiple occasions and go to college and get married and buy a house...but noone ever gets divorced or forecloses or defaults in the game...haha

Can someone confirm that once you have your FOL, there's no way they can switch your class date or anything like that?? Any of the JC veterans here heard about that happening to anyone?
I'm just feeling super paranoid about when to quit my job. I'd hate to quit and then have the good ole FAA throw me a nasty curveball like that and leave me hanging with bills to pay.

Are the people recieving OKC dates given options on class dates? Did they care if you took a later date?

I've heard on here of one instance of an individual's FOL being withdrawn. And prior to the fiscal year a few people had their classes canceled. But nothing since then. You should be fine.

Does anyone else have charlene S. as their HR rep....I've been trying to get a hold of her for weeks about my FOL but can't get a reply by phone or email.

I had to ask my HR rep a question about my medical and received a reply today stating everything was cool -
"As soon as "Jane Doe" can get you scheduled to attend the academy she'll be in contact with you"...
I was under the impression my HR rep would give me a date, not someone else. *shrug*
