Congrats dude! I just emailed my rep and she said that I am waiting on medical. Nothing wrong with it just people out for holidays. Hopefully will be right along in ZTL. Congrats!

I had to laugh at some of the hostility on here.
Just remember that those of us lucky enough to get dates are just basically the lottery winners of the FAA's crapshoot hiring process. Don't hold it against us.
I sincerely feel for those of you with reps that don't communicate very well.

What a beautiful statement. Less than 2 minutes ago. Wow I'm pumped.

Are u sure thats not your TOL?? You are supposed to accept the class date they offer you before they will send you a FOL and that comes by FedEx

Yeah it's on FAA letterhead and everything. Maybe they don't FedEx it now, but I'm not sure.
When my HR rep gave me my class date she said my FOL would be sent in the email a few weeks before OKC. But it came today and I could not be happier.

Off topic, I think some people have signatures that are way longer than the character limit. How do you do that? I won't be able to squeeze in my class date/FOL info when it eventually comes

I received an email from my HR rep just before close of business this afternoon with 3 attachments to fill out and send back to her:
*Statement of Prior Federal Service
*Employment Agreement
*FAA Fact Sheet
But none of them looked remotely similar to the TOL I received in Kansas City with the word "tentative" covered in white out and the word "firm" typed in instead...lol...waiting on the FOL.
Maybe that explains why I was asked if I could make a June class date...maybe the kids going to Enroute Air Traffic Basics class get priority...but for the next 6 months? that seems obnoxious. who knows, just rolling with the punches.

And for anyone that was unaware, the ATC training staff at the FAA Academy and the procedures and guidelines have recently been revamped and reworked since the FAA chose in its infinite wisdom to privatize that aspect of the government as well. It all revolves around money, always has and always will. Raytheon won the like $437M contract for the next 10 years or something and promises to train us all better, faster, and cheaper for Uncle Sam.
Maybe all of our preconceptions of how things are run there will change soon. I heard something about more instructors, more classes, multiple shift rotations, like a Day class and a Night class running in parallel. So we'll see how class dates fall between and among enrouters and terminal hopefuls.

Wow, I'm jealous. I can't even get my HR rep to respond to an email or answer her phone....
Do any of you happen to know if they sent stuff to all your refrences? They only sent stuff to one of mine so far. Which is ironic because the other two are airport directors...
Only some of the people that I lived with got stuff too....

I've been emailing my HR rep directly, as instructed in the email I got in October. To date, I have received a total of 0 responses from her. I've always had to email other peoples HR reps in order to get any sort of a response.
The one who almost always responds to me, did so yesterday and confirmed that all my clearances we're received. That is all it said, and did not give any further specifics.
Anyways, the reason I started typing this was to say that I asked WHY my HR rep never responds to any of my emails or calls. What gives??
The Rep of the Year responded and said that my original one was moved to another department, and now I have a new person. (I actually would prefer to have the one who always responds instead.)
So, just a heads up to anybody who never seems to get a response from their rep. It might be because she has been moved down into storage B with Milton, and no longer has an email to check.
