Well I'm finally pursuing my goal of flying. Got out of the military in January and relocated to Birmingham, AL for a new job. Found Wallace state community college about an hour north and they have an associates in applied science in flight technology for either helos or fixed wing. Fixed wing had a long wait list so helos it is! They accept the Post 9/11 too which is the Only reason I can do it. It's a two year program that takes you through private, commercial, instrument and CFI. I start next week and cannot even begin to explain how pumped I am. My background is avionics on Bell H-1's so it's going to feel good to finally fly in helos after spending so many years keeping them in the air.
