I did some informational picketing with Spirit pilots a while back, was in the area and had nothing better to do. Really great guys all of them. I wish them the best.

Actually there are a few that made it before the furlough. They'll be recalled whenever. Pretty scary. Spirit had pretty low requirements anyways just 2500tt no PIC. I think they were looking for the less experienced folks that wouldn't mind the low pay like the regionals.

2500TT is just a starting point to weed out resumes. I am sure the competative unpublished mins are higher.

PIC time is great but isn't the only thing to hang a hiring decision on as you would. There are alot of us out here without it and are good pilots but due to this crazy industry have never seen the left seat at a carrier.
