If this is the case, I can’t imagine it would slow them down for too long.

Don't think the freeze is system wide. They just posted for a manager and admin Assistant. Admin Assistant in Dallas, Texas, United States | Other at Southwest

They may be posting, but they may not be moving forward with the hiring process at this time.

No signs of trouble that we can see. Pilots are pretty bad at keeping secrets, so if there was something afoot that was scary we'd have heard about it by now, either by the pilot group of from management trying to put a lid on it. So far the only casualty is our beloved peanut.

Well.... Maybe. We are still taking aircraft deliveries at the rate of several a month. I would expect that if WN were consolidating for future downturn the first real sign would be deferring deliveries... But what do I know, I'm just a mushroom.

From what I have heard the hiring freeze mentioned in the memo in question has already been factored in to the current hiring posting for Assistant Dispatchers and should not be the cause of any further delays in the hiring process. HOWEVER, like with all rumors, take it with lots of salt.

Judging from what Rewind said, if it still says received they probably haven't looked at it yet. Mine says "Closed Complete" and I didn't get any phone call/ email, so I imagine that means they looked at mine and said nope. Waiting on the TBNT now I guess.
