I think they've changed their procedures - they used to yank the post as soon as they got a set number of applications, but I believe they leave it up for a set amount of time now (a week or two) because they were worried about missing some quality applicants who didn't manage to apply in a two or three hour window. That being said - if you are interested, I would check their website daily so you can submit your application once they do post the job. I don't think you need to do it hourly though.

Yeah, we don't do the "race to the computer" dance anymore. We found we were leaving a lot of great dispatchers in the dust by doing a "black Friday sale" approach. Amusing, to be sure, but counterproductive to finding the "best of the best". Last couple I've seen have stayed up a minimum of 48 hours.

Internal employees were told in an email it would be going up last Friday but it never did. Not sure why there has been a delay.

To be fair it didn't specify a day. It just said a posting would be going up in the "very near future"

On Wednesday the exact wording was "very near future" (underscore and italics were in the message).

So, soon(tm).
