i.e. don't be robot in your panel interview haha. I've seen a few people who are very qualified make it there and then get passed up. Nothing against them but I could see where their personality may have gotten in the way or just didn't "wow" them enough. You really gotta sell yourself and shotgun a tall boy of the company Kool-Aid it seems.

It's not even about kool aid (though some helps) as much as it is show you want to be there, and not just for the money.
 
There are some great podcast interviews with Herb.
How I built that with Guy Raz has a couple…givr them a listen and maybe have a couple of “Herb” type questions prepared.

I have absolutely no desire to live in or commute to Texas. (I grew up there.)…so I’m not ever going to apply.

Ok, thanks for the tip. Sorry to hear about your TBNT. From what I heard, they are going through the resumes today and narrowing down the list. Also, from what I heard, if you hadn't gotten a TBNT until now, then at least HR didn't find anything that they didn't like about you from the phone screening. So, you probably passed their vibe check, but it's now simply that they're now really thinning the herd. There'll be another opportunity later in 2024.

Shouldn't they be finished "narrowing down the list" already.

No, I heard that they are going through the resumes today. Narrowing down from the ones that might have passed the phone screening to the ones that will make the cut to the final interview.
