Hello,
I currently hold a First Class Medical. 25 years old. I do have asthma, but other than that I have no other existing conditions. I recently had some stomach bloating (NOT stomach pain or cramping). Went to a gastro doctor and he ran some lab work (blood test, lactose tolerance test, pancreas elastase test) and everything came back perfect. To be aggressive and make sure it wasn't Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis we went ahead and did a colonoscopy (this was more for my peace of mind to be honest). He said everything looked perfect. So, he basically classified it as IBS that was related to stress and diet (I'd been under a lot of stress lately working long hours in addition to pursuing my CFI). The whole thing has been a bit odd as I have never had any stomach issues at all.
I looked at the CACI - Colitis worksheet and it seems like I shouldn't have any issue getting my First Class. I'm not taking any medication for it.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
