It's really not. You get hired with the expectation that you will pass training and upgrade to dispatcher asap. The assistant position is really "dispatcher in training"but this is an assistant dispatch position
Not great.I work at AA in MOC, my son applied to Delta, fresh from out of Dispatch school and has his BS degree. how are his odds at Delta?
It is yes but the alternative is also very long as well. the amount of applicants with the experience some of them have externally trying to get in. I always hope everyone gets what they want but pickings seem slim right now for job vacancies vs applicants.I heard going the internal route is sort of a long journey
You are also right, all about perspective lolIt is yes but the alternative is also very long as well. the amount of applicants with the experience some of them have externally trying to get in. Non-existent without at least four years experience. The Majors can afford to be extremely picky now that the COVID hiring rush is all but over. Have him keep applying though.I work at AA in MOC, my son applied to Delta, fresh from out of Dispatch school and has his BS degree. how are his odds at Delta?
Assistant Flight Superintendent...is a dispatcher in training at Delta...and then you upgrade to Flight Superintendentbut this is an assistant dispatch position
lol Delta would call dispatchers flight superintendents. Are suspenders part of the required dress code?
