I'm sorry, but you really don't know Paul. He is the one of the best pilots I have ever met, and also one of the most humble.
Hmm, I'll keep my thoughts to myself on this one.
I have to agree with Drifter by and large, although I wouldn't exactly call him humble. Very confident, usually has a smile, and always willing to chat it up, at least in the contexts that I've hung out with him in. You go away feeling like you've learned something.
In no way arrogant.

http://www.flyalaska.com/videoclips.html. There is a longer version on youtube showing the departure from the beach, the pre-takeoff taxiing and then the takeoff and fly by. This occurred at Nunavagaluk Lake west of Dillingham in 2006. The Albatross landed and beached at Crystal Creek Lodge, but got stuck. We spent more than an hour digging under-water tracks for the main wheels before after several aborted tries of revving up his engines to get unstuck, he was finally able to taxi away from the beach.
