Freezing drizzle. Very sinister!

A little type-IV? Nah... Well, we'd better....Oh, I don't know if it's sticking....Hmmm....Errr...."Ops, uhh UPS 119 needs de-ice"

I'm only a few hundred miles from MSP, been snowing all day today. Good luck and have a good flight. HOpefully this is one of the times that the TAF is way way off.

On a somewhat related note, one of my best night cross countries happened on a flight where they forecasted the weather to be about 400 bkn, but I went to the airport anyway for whatever reason. Ended up being completely clear, almost no wind, and I got to see the northern lights.

Sh*t..........I was bummed out yesterday going into Medford,OR surrounded by mountains. Ceiling was 1500ft BUT they reported scattered at 200ft. it was more like 7/8's coverage at 200ft. That wasn't the worst part...........I was just given the final vector to final when I get the all dreaded **Whoop Whoop, Terrain....Terrain....** in IMC! I frickin frooze! for a second looked over at the captain and the look on his face said it all..........Autopilot disconnect......FULL POWER......Get the he*l outta there!

Turns out the controller gave us a final turn to intercept final too late and that took us through final which gave us the warning because there was a mountain that was 5400ft high. We were at 5100ft. I was kinda pissed when I got to the hotel. And the best part is we land and nobody has any idea what almost happened.

That just means you did a good job

mrivc211 -- you're way overpaid. You know, you just push buttons all day and do what ATC tells you to do!

Uhhhh, I'll do it!

Yikes, that's a rough looking WX report. I don't even know what some of those abbreviations are...

Have I mentioned that our summers are to die for???

Yeah, it was pretty crappy here today. Clouds were coming down almost to my 17th floor window this afternoon, and it seemed as though the ground fog was trying to work it's way up. Not my idea of a good day to fly.

I'll take it. I'm the UPS guy that would be de-icing you(except Im in rockford instead:)). Man what I wouldnt do to be inside the cockpit instead of in the bucket;)

Minneapolis is fine... Just a little fog and drizzle all day. It has been like this all day.

A300 - Suck it up and be a man and do the right thing........

Call in sick!!! That's why God gave you reserves!

After a some 1/8SM weather and freezing precip!

I passed through MSP a few times yesterday..almost busted my butt stepping off of the jetbridge stairs! Nothing like having people looking out the window and see the FO trying to do a split.

Didn't have to de-ice though, it had warmed up a little bit and there was no precip.
