XJT AIP

Haven't gotten through much of it, but so far its definitely worse than our current contract. There are a few things in there that are better than what we currently have (Moving expenses and DPM,) but some things such as 401k, pay rates, and reserve rules are worse. It's a No vote from me obviously, but I have the next 5 hours to read the whole thing simply because I want to know what's in there.

Is it an actual pay cut from what you are making now?

How did you get a copy of it?

There's a copy up on the crackpipe (which is acting slow....I'm sure it's crashing as everyone is trying to get on).

Just looking at the beginning sections it looks like many XJTers fears are confirmed. Status quo /concessions basically. Things I saw which will cause heartburn include pay rates changing at 18 month intervals (not for all AC), No pay for DH if released, longer airport standby (6hrs), reassignment via ACARS.

I don't see why a group would vote for this...Cue managament adding some threats in order to sway things.

Yes, CRJ on wheel movement (own power/tug), ERJ remains brake release. I'm not sure if this is a change for the CRJ...If so it's BS>

Remember, it says CRJ & New Equipment. So, IF those E-jets or Mitsubishi pieces of crap show, no break release, it will be under own power.

The other laughable section was the pay "raises" only if certain number of bigger planes come online by certain dates.

FUPM!

Awe...the fruits of everyone's labor...

You guys happy?

Wish we had a local ATL M&G right about now.

Roadshows will be fun...lol

My question is, how does XJT/SKWY management sell this? Do they try to stress the positives? Do they harp on the negatives and try to scare pilots into a "Yes?" Some combination of the two?

The company isn't selling anything. ALPA will be front and center telling all of us what is included. Perhaps not directly selling it, but if they (ALPA) didn't like it, how'd it make it to the pilot groups with only 3 MEC Reps saying no.

The EWR reps sent a blastmail out yesterday explaining why they voted and it's clear they're not trying to sell this thing. It sounds like they labored long and hard deciding what was best to do.

My opinion...they sent it out expecting a resounding "No."

Damn, $300 a week + per diem when a new hire......

I read it as no per diem.

Honestly, I haven't gotten through the whole thing (half way through scheduling). It really mostly looks like our current contract on the ASA side.

Concerns: No duty rig unless you're on a CDO. Pay is the same as I'm currently making.

Good: Couple of minor stuff. But mostly status quo. Looking at the wording of stuff, I don't see a ton of "at the company discretion" etc. Also, if this stagnation keeps going, the TA has 8 year f/o pay. Current one stops at 7.

Things like training and JR man go above MMG.

Also, reserves get a min of 12 days off too.

Not a great contract, but not the train wreck I was expecting.

Withholding judgement until I get through the whole thing.

Yeah, until that backfires. Poor strategy.

At least your EWR reps did that though, so I commend that smart communication move.

Bad: Vacation low adjustment, can only use it in one month if your vacation spans across into another month.

Credit window size...15 hours...that's swell, and a logical nightmare for pilots QOL and bidding. Glad we brought PBS on property and delayed negotiations for a year so the Company and NMB could gut our industry leading PBS.

Hotel location language. Quite the change from our current book, and not for the better.

I have grad school stuff to work on, so I'm not gonna waste my time as I'll have all four days to watch the commentary on this one.

No pay for dh if you don't take it has got to be the dumbest one of all. So the company wants you to take a revenue seat. Are they trying to have it voted down?
