Received a call today from the HR folks at UPS, wanting to set up an interview. It appears they are going to hire 2 folks.

Guess they were a month to late for me. LOL.

Haven't checked their website to see if the positions are posted

On the brightside at least it is warm in Houston.

It appears at least one of these openings will be upgraded to a dispatcher line immediately after training.

Just curious, what is the starting pay for an assistant dispatcher and then a full disp?

Assistant: $25.04 p/hr
Dispatcher: $33.56 p/hr
There is also a $.61 midnight shift differential and a $2 international override if worked.

Had my phone interview...3 from dispatch management, 1 from HR on the call...General resume questions, fairly typical...went well, hoping for face to face. Starting pay 5,141/month

My friend has been a dispatcher for a couple of Cargo Supplemental Carriers and worked for ARINC. She also has extensive experience in overfly permits and route planning.
