Provisional Driver's License valid for Sport Pilot?

Good news, I got my provisional drivers license today! Yay! But I was wondering if a PROVISIONAL driver's license would be okay for sport pilot operations? I'm now 18 and have a provisional.

I don't see why not. Why do you have a provisional license if you're 18?

Well, because I started to learn to drive when I was 17 instead of 16. I got a driver's permit at that time. I thought I would immediately get a basic drivers license when I'm 18 but it wasn't until recently I found out that I need a provisional for 1 year, no matter what age I was, then get a basic, at least in New Jersey.
