You rip on a guy because he helps clean his airplane?
Do you look down on me because I unload my Lear?
Netjets pilot clean their planes and gasp unload bags.

And NetJets 1st year FOs make more than 4 year FOs at his company, receive more days off, treated better, etc.

I'm sure most didn't start at Gulfstream either...

:yup:

hard to tell if jet blue fo's are beat on harder by other pilots or by their own company.

hey fins i was a beech 1900 FO i understand your shame.

Now you're just making stuff up. I am not ashamed of where I work. If I was I wouldn't be advertising it on these boards.

Sorry, but I'm always gonna say something about the JetBlew cabin-cleaners/pilots whenever it comes up. It just bugs me to no end. It's even worse than the leather jacket.

Come on, I've been wondering for a long time: who are you on FI? I've never been able to pick you out.

Blasphemy! Fins will be on you for your sins.

But, keep it up, mate.

Wow - a cabin cleaning joke. How long did that one take you to think of? I rarely clean the cabin. I say goodbye to the passengers, get the cockpit ready for the next flight or get my stuff out so the on-coming crew can get in there, get some food for myself and anyone else who wants anything (oops - am I not supposed to help out the FA's in that manner), and do the walkaround if it's my turn. If all that's done, maybe I'll help them out in the back.

Regarding someone's earlier post, I talk to current and former a ALPA memebers regarding the organization. I don't know any Mesa or Skybus pilots, and only a couple USAir guys. My buddies who work at FedEx are not fans for reasons like their MEC/LEC or whatever he's called asking the pilot group for their opinion on matters and then voting the opposite because "national wants a unified front". I hear of what I would consider misuse of your dues, particularly when it comes to funding some aspects of the meetings in Miami. And any idea of merger protection based on having a union is a joke in my opinion.

Bash on me and JB all you want. It is inconsequential anyway. I'm not opposed to a union at JB, but I'm not going to feed the beast.

Once again, Fins PROVES he doesn't know squat about ALPA, nor does he want to. Because he bases all his "opinions" on the chirping of disaffected ex-ALPA pilots who blame the Union for their furloughs.

Not really a balanced view that come from that source. But, Fins wants to go it alone because he's all about himself. Its sad. But its a classic example of the "me, Me, ME" attitude you'll generally find at jetBlue/Skybus/Virgin/Allegiant. "Me first, everyone else can pound sand."

Hopefully the new JFK slot restrictions will drive a stake through the heart of jetBlue and Fins can yank gear on some non-Union RJ for awhile.

nah, i'm not making anything up. i was a 1900 FO and i spent way too much time making that inside look presentable. Also, jet blue guys are beat on by other pilots verbally. i used to fly outa boston all the time man, i took plenty of free rides down to MCO. truth be told i even helped one crew clean up some because i felt bad. they joked with me when i was cleaning up "ohh the life of an airline pilot", "by the way this isn't something i tell women i do at the bar". i think pilots cleaning up after airplanes is a slap in the face, but whatever. but hey, a shiny jet is a shiny jet right?

with that said i have yet to meet a jet blue crew that wasn't a good guy/gal. every guy i met was either a first or second year and its shown that shiny jet syndrome lasts longer for the bigger the jet.

i should make a graph for the rj guys over here (-200 and -900) and then the jetblue/alliegent guys, with a comparison of happiness over time. maybe i could sell it to management to help them f us all over some more. i could become a rich man a bail out of dumbasstastic airlines all together :). hehe of course i'm sure i wouldn't have any more pilot friends after that!

I'm glad to see there are people out there rooting for other people to lose their jobs. That's real professional.

(Here comes the line about how it's not professional to take a job for less pay blah blah blah broken record)

Funny, I could have been based at home with Pinnacle but I refused to apply. I didn't want to contribute to the bottom of the industry.

You're a broken record. You're the one continually posting inflamatory remarks with false or no basis. You skip the questions you don't like. You should run for office.

But in your own words V, all we have to do is, "vote in a union, any union" and I can ride on your jumpseat. Ain't that right? Don't make me go look up that post again.

ick. depends on ur idea of professional.

btw, i'm not the guy to talk to about professional standards. talk to anyone thats flown with me.

i'm not asking for 150,000 as an FO in a 1900. i am asking that these joke first year pays be burned to the ground. and i think there is a valid argument that if we keep racing to the bottom there won't be any profession left.

as for people losing their jobs? yeah its gonna happen. there are not enough pilots for the air carriers and from a large scale picture i have hopes that $#!Tball carriers will collapse from lack of pilots. in utopia land this would mean they'll have to go work for a union carrier and we can evaporate the BS companies that drag the pay down. unfortunately that isn't happening as fast or as universally as i'd. the next step is to shame people into only working for a union shop. perhaps a couple of them will vote yes for representation on their own. i do what i can with what i got. i'm tired of seeing friends with families starving it out in hopes of making "it big" someday in the airline.

Last time I checked FedEx is represented by ALPA and they don't have any pilots on furlough. Don't you ever read for comprehension?

Do you hope that Colgan goes under?

And with that- Seggy, Cruise, MattB, Greaper, Smittey, Snuggle, RocketMan, Dingo, OldComputerGuy, usmc-sgt and the rest of us are out on the street?

You have to admit as barbaric as it is, the method works. Just look at Saudi Arabia!

LOL! Vote ALPA or lose a hand!

:sarcasm:

Hardliners rarely accomplish much except to scare the bejesus balls out of everyone and turn those they campaign for against them.

That might be true, but they're also usually the only people with any fire in their belly or motivation to go out there and try to make things happen.

hey, theres no crying in baseball alright!

my hope is that colgan gets unionized, merges with pinnacle, or unionizes and gets sold off to someone other than pinnacle (so u won't have to be merged). if you have any questions on that you are more than welcome to talk to some of the pinnacle guys who have been paid crap so their company could buy yours. one of those pinnacle guys i've known for about 6 years and was at his wedding.

as for you second question, i've made it pretty ####ing clear i don't want any of my fellow pilots out on the street. even if some of them do include you.

EDIT: if you have any questions about me your more than welcome to talk to seggy and snuggle. i don't know anyone else up there.

SUCK!

(my late night drinking thoughts and love for all the non-union guys!)

O.K. So you've been an FO for what, a few months now at XJT, and now you're the know-it-all-guy when it comes to this industry and Unions? Please man, you need to look in the mirror and count your stripes. You work for one of the better carriers with a good Union group and excellent work rules. Good on you. But since when did you become such an expert in this field? After you passed your SIC ride? Come on, get real.

Exactly. Yes, non union carriers are in most cases not the greatest places to work. I will probably never work for another Non-Union carrier again after working here at Colgan, but in no way would I look down upon a Non-Union group like the CJC pilots. We tried. We failed. Some have to stay, others are leaving.

We have an excellent group of people here flying these airplanes while getting little respect or care from management. Its not their fault. The pilots here deserve more and I hope that things work out for them on the next ALPA drive. But I wouldn't make blanket statements like that, especially when you haven't been in an Airline cockpit for more then a few months. Its absurd.

Word. I may have run into you a few times around Boston. You were based in AUG right? Preston was my sim partner.

True that, however you can be dedicated and effective sans violence. Surely you don't actually condone violence for this. How about vote Republican or receive a beating? :)
