Aer Lingus pilots, represented by the Irish Air Line Pilots Association (IALPA) have begun a work to rule action over pay rates. IALPA is seeking a 24% increase in pilot pay to account for inflation. 270 flights have been cancelled so far.

I think the strikes they do are very effective though. The airline can’t replace the flying on short notice for an 8 hour block.

I hope the pilots are successful in their negotiations.

I laugh because we didn't want to nonrev to europe during the summer because loads are insane (yayy profit sharing though), and Lufthansa seems to have a strike every week- so we booked EIN to get away from the DLH shenanigans, and our flight is cancelled tonight. Probably try to nonrev anyway!
