We had had patchy fog here in LAS lastnight after a full day of cold rain. The fog made some sections less than 1 mile visibility. That was the 1st time in 8 years I have seen fog in Vegas. Flights were delayed all day and night yesterday. Today, we have those annoying 20+kt winds.

Didn't make it. WOULD have made it if we just said "eff it!" and flew to Cincy for a flight which all logic said we wouldn't get on.

But we're going tomorrow and the flights look a little better.

Sometimes I think we're losing our "Non Rev Edge" where in the past, if the flight looked impossible, we'd say "Screw it!" and just go, but now it's like "Ehhh, it's real close..."

Probably my fault largely because I go to Europe every couple weeks or so, so the massive drive to throw caution to the wind has subsided somewhat.

Time to brew up some coffee, pop in a movie and settle in for a long nights of work.

wx still sucks here.....passed MSP on the way in and the vis was really low. I could barely make out the lights on the planes as they crossed over the last set of lights before the threshold.......it was one of those '100 ft above tdze nights.....'
