"from The Ground Up" Book

I was listening to this AVweb Podcast (http://www.avweb.com/podcast/podcas...ndSchoolTextBooks_205846-1.html?kw=AVwebAudio) and apparently it's used as the Canadian PPL book amongst other things. Has anyone read it before? Any good?

It's a good book and very detailed. The sentences get convoluted when they substitute the US regulation for the original Canadian one. Another book that I like is http://www.asa2fly.com/Pilots-Manual-Volume-2-Ground-School--P846_product1.aspx very detailed and doesn't get into all the stupid romance of flight sidebars like Jepp does.

John was describing them as the diagrams in the book. I don't know if there are any text with it.
