ATC Fundamentals Hardcover Book

I know I've said this like 100 times before, but I guess I say it again.....

Do NOT, DO NOT waste your money! Basics is the easiest class you will ever take. It's so so so slow. It shouldn't be more than 3 weeks, but they do it in 5 weeks. If you learn everything before then it's gonna be more boring then it already will be. I have no aviation experience and I got 5 questions wrong total in basics (four 30 question tests, and 100 question final). I barely studied too. Trust me, enjoy your time before you get to the academy, and worry about the academy when your there. The entire academy is very easy...94% pass rate. You will do fine!

If you have further questions let me know

Is that the book that I was accused of writing under a pseudonym or something?

Oh hell no dude don't waste your money on that, listen to bippoptl (lol sup bro!) Like everyone and their mom says here tho basics is really not that difficult at all and you, like the other bazillion people that pass through the academy and the basics course year in year out, will do just fine. The only thing if anything that I would be concerned about is your facility type/specific simulated training that you will receive during the final portion of your stint, (whether you are Tower, TRACON, or Center.) That is where your real focus should be, you can study the rules and techniques on how to do everything but what matters most is when it comes time to apply and actually do it. Thats my $4.20!

No I think you were accused of writing and selling the book on AT-SAT testing not the Basics Course; however, someone who sold the AT-SAT testing book would probably be interested in suckers purchasing a book on something that is taught for free :laff::panic:

It looks like I will skip this book, I still have the AT-SAT prep book though which has lots of ATC terms and stuff in the glossary, maybe I will just learn that before the academy, I'm sure that is what a lot of the hardcover book covers too.

2.) Eat cake.

That's all you need to worry about before you get here. :)

*The ICAO version, don't learn by watching Cops.
