Delays ????

Just looking at the current FAA delays and saw this for JFK:

"General Departure Delays: Due to EQ NAVCAN, traffic is experiencing Gate Hold and Taxi delays between 1 hour and 31 minutes and 1 hour and 45 minutes in length and increasing. "


What is EQ NAVCAN......?

Certainly something to do with Nav Canada. The EQ may mean an equipment outage, not 100% sure.

I like the "...and increasing..." part. More or less says, "DON'T BOTHER US!"

"MISC" > "MISC REPORTS" > FAM works out handy on the ACARS in this situation, yay!

Nav Canada computer problem ... unless the jet-stream is very far to the south the majority of traffic crossing the Atlantic will transition Nav Canada airspace.
