Had the opportunity to ferry a Diamond DA-20 from BJC to OFP over two days, Thursday and Friday. I had to deal with that weather system for the entire two days; on Thursday it kept pushing me further and further north before I stopped for the night, and on Friday when I finally poked through the cold front I was battered by the ridiculous winds all the way home. It was so rough that I had to strap everything down, including the camera. Here's what I was able to get:
Mooney on short final:
Number two for takeoff:
Looking back towards Broomfield and Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park:
On final into North Platte, NE:
Sunset somewhere over Nebraska:
Sunrise over Iowa:
My attempt to be like CK:
Name that city, on the mighty Mississippi:
The associated airport:
Here's the front I have to get through:
One more CK-esque shot:
Couldn't take another pic until I got home because of the turbulence (including my first severe in any aircraft). I didn't have a tripod, and tried to steady my camera on my bag. Didn't work:
