He is typed in the ATR-42 and ATR-72. You could always do one of those routines like "I understand you used to fly ATR-72s. I've always thought that would be a great job because _____________". (You fill in the blanks.) Then just sit back and follow his lead.

You never know. It can't hurt to try.
