Azerbaijan Airlines Crash

Like I said, two civilian airliner shootdowns in a decade makes it pretty clear that even if it's an "accident", they don't care enough to ensure it doesn't happen.
I'm sure the MIJI'ing they did afterward was "accidental," too.

Seriously guys, the Russians were just protecting themselves, nothing to see here.

The juicy part from the link

"Azerbaijani government sources have exclusively confirmed to Euronews on Thursday that a Russian surface-to-air missile caused the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash in Aktau on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the missile was fired at Flight 8432 during drone air activity above Grozny, and the shrapnel hit the passengers and cabin crew as it exploded next to the aircraft mid-flight.

Government sources have told Euronews that the damaged aircraft was not allowed to land at any Russian airports despite the pilots’ requests for an emergency landing, and it was ordered to fly across the Caspian Sea towards Aktau in Kazakhstan.

According to data, the plane’s GPS navigation systems were jammed throughout the flight path above the sea."

Granted it's a one sided report from the Azerbaijan government, but it fits Russian MO, and is especially damning if true that they were denied landing.

If this is true. I want to know what SAM system it was that wasn’t m able to hit a non-maneuvering airliner aircraft and had to rely on its prox fuze for detonation.

So you’re blaming the skirt.

Good for you. Not something I’d lead with, but thank you for offering your opinion or something.

Again. Why they attacking as far away as Grozny?

Ukraine has opened a new can of worms when it comes to war tactics with drones. Other nations and factions will adopt this type of warfare. One day it will bite us in the ass.

Screw Ukraine, Russia. Couldn’t care less about either one.

Screw Russia, but first let me defend them by creating a deep conspiracy based on no evidence that cleans their hands of this extremely vile act.

Surely you have enough social skills to understand how this is perceived and maybe not the best thing to type up on an Internet forum. Not rocket science and I refuse to believe you’re that out of touch lol

I don’t know where you read anything about cleaning hands. It’s a war, and war sucks.

Why do you want my attention so bad?

It’s flattering, if I were looking to be flattered, but it’s actually tremendously creepy.

Thank you for your unsolicited opinion, but go get some fresh air and enjoy your day. I’m not as exciting, in real life, than I am to you online.

Another possibility, like what happened when the Ukrainians shot down an airliner a few years ago, was the missile lost its target (perhaps it got intercepted by another) and then re-locked onto the airliner. In the Ukrainian incident, the airliner was like 150 miles away from the exercise area but the missile still got it.

You feed your ego this way. That’s not on me. Whatever floats your boat.

Germany and Japan started this type of warfare during WW2. V1, V2 rockets and incendiary balloons. You're looking at technology improving and blaming the latest entity to make some improvements and use of the technology.
