AS application question-employment history

Is your projection furlough date , projection of 2021 pax levels and projection of economic lockdowns facts? I came in here to say relax and you refuted me with negative posts, like I'm insulting you I'm not on board?

I'm not mad at all, I've always been here to help bring your spirits up actually. I think you have cautiously posted so many massively negative and depressing posts for the last 8 months you don't even realize. But hey if doomsday screaming is what helps manage your stress by all means.

Maybe the let's grab a beer thing was a bad idea. If you need help with employment, I'm working at Amazon and it's not a bad job. I'll help you any way I can, way better pay than unemployment and I still get my airline check no problems.

Doomsday Screaming? You talk this way to people and expect them to not only think you aren’t upset but that your opinion is worth something?

Do you at least understand how saying this to someone exactly describes what you are saying about me?

I don't think my opinion is worth anything nor do I think anyone's here is for the most part. But nah man, I'm chilling.

Please. Keep chilling and stop having a visceral response to factual data. I don’t enjoy the facts I post here. But they are still facts even though they suck. AS lost 431 million dollars last quarter. I’m shocked that I am still employed.

I wish it were not true but sadly it is

I gave cred to the PS4 for winning last decade but come on bro... 360 was way better than the PS3. deal with it....

I am patiently waiting for that Series X. I don't think I'm getting PS5 this time.
The 360 was pretty awesome.

But I loved the Playstation idea that you just logged on and played. You didn't have to buy a subscription.

I can’t speak for Beef, but it makes me pretty uneasy.

Why? Short term all airlines are hurting or will be hurting with this 3rd wave. But the long term planning is for next year. I read it as good news for calling people back from their incentive leave lines. Isn't that what we want? Bad news would have been if they asked the 6 month guys (the shortest duration) if they could extend out further....

I am indifferent. Don't believe any news/info until it actually happens. I doubt that they actually have a "strategic" plan given how much things change.

Meh. Could be good, could be costly. It’s just a big leap to go from “we need cash burn 0” to “let’s kick this schedule in the ass and fly a ton”. Obviously we don’t have all the data that they do, so maybe it’ll be awesome. In the mean time, my tool trailer is all organized and loaded and I’m ready to go back to remodeling and building next spring if it doesn’t work out. I really hope you’re right.

As long as you realize the “never let a crisis go to waste” line of thinking allows bad things to happen to pilots, as well as good things.

Cash burn zero is never attainable so as long as you block middle seats. On our bigger planes that's about 60 seats you can't even sell. That BS needs to end. Most airlines are on board with the idea, Delta is the one hold out.

The company does nothing unique, Delta in SEA was kicking ass pre-covid and i'm sure they will come back swinging. Southwest does California better and can grab a lot of market share. Management will really have to diverge from their standard shrink and run strategy to stay in business. Or we get acquired which I'm really hoping for.

I’m not going to root for getting bought, but it’d be really niiiice (borat) to see a break from historical thinking.

For now I remain very cautious about my chances of staying employed. When the second lockdown ends I’m guess we will have learned how to live with Covid as a society. Things could be looking up. At least in terms of remaining employed. Pre Covid we had 250 ish mainline aircraft.

With a looming lockdown I’m still preparing for a furlough. As me how I’m feeling in June.
