I took a moment to think about what you wrote, and I hope I got the gist of it and I'm sure if I didn't you'll correct me. I think you're saying that being focused on the exactitudes of what you do is fine but don't neglect the ancillaries that are required and even worse don't ignore the rest of your life that has nothing to do with your work. It doesn't even matter if it's aviation, that's solid advice.
