Fixed it for you. Anytime I see somebody cruising in the left lane around here, they usually have Oregon plates. They're not from Portland so probably?

Despite the ... usual suspects complaining about Gavin's haircut, socialism (not even close) or whatever it is, I'd note that 1) they pay to live in California and 2) allegedly there are "choices" involved, etc.Theyre just trying to savor every moment not spent In Oregon…. jk. Wish I could a nice hovel out there but dang the prices

With similar sentiments for most of the West Coast. It's because it's worth it.
It doesn't solve everything but it sure helps.Grew up in Socal, dont know that id go back. Far too crowded for my social anxiety…but the PNW, where the brother in law is, looks great. Just something about a 1200ft house for 550k rubs me the wrong way. Im cheap… :/ but maybe i just need to make more money. I hear that solves everything
There also seems to be a base cost for existing as a human being.I am just amazed that places where people live and everything doesn’t come 1000 miles on a barge are as expensive as juneau.

Shoot looking at some of Bobs posts I pay less for butter at the local IGA (not even a big box/warehouse) than he does in NY State. No sense.

To be fair, down here in Vancouver one doesn't know if they're actually from Oregon or a Washingtonian with Oregon plates.I'll just say anecdotally, some troll this afternoon was holding up a huge line in the left lane for miles and miles. I got over to the right because I couldn't take the annoyance, and we started passing everyone in the left lane. Finally got to the very front of the hold up, and what do you know, it was an OR plated Tesla. Surprised face To his credit, he finally got over, right before I was about to pass him on the right. WA drivers are pretty bad too though. Maybe worse than OR as a whole.

I am under no legal obligation to “get out of your way” in most places if I’m operating at the speed limit.I'll just say anecdotally, some troll this afternoon was holding up a huge line in the left lane for miles and miles. Actually in some states it is illegal to camp out in the left lane if you are going slower than the flow of traffic. Im not going to move over for 1 idiot that’s going 90 in a 55 with all the other lanes available for passing but if there’s a few cars lined up behind me, I do the the right thing and move over.I am under no legal obligation to “get out of your way” in most places if I’m operating at the speed limit.
I’ll move as a courtesy, but if we’re already cracking along at 70 or more miles per hour, I don’t see what the hurry is. My advice? Leave earlier, and find more appropriate outlets for your aggression than when you’re behind the wheel.

Interesting, something that Nevada, Ohio and North Carolina have “correct,” at least from my view.Actually in some states it is illegal to camp out in the left lane if you are going slower than the flow of traffic. Driving in the left lane: A state-by-state guide to when it's legal, when it's not
As of Nov. 1, if you’re riding in the left lane without passing another car in Alabama, you’ll be pulled over and issued a citation. The new law goes into effect as a means of combating road rage. …www.goupstate.com
So what’s the point of droning along at your max legal in the left lane? If you’re not actively passing someone, why not do the same thing in the right lane?Interesting, something that Nevada, Ohio and North Carolina have “correct,” at least from my view.
I still don’t understand why I should quote “get out of your way” unquote if the speed limit is, say, 70, and I’m cracking on at that speed or even beyond it (by unspoken mutual agreement, everyone in these suburbs seems to do 5-10 over). “MUH ROAD RAGE” is not a valid reason if you’re doing 15+ over a 70mph limit, and in this case I would recommend both leaving earlier for work and switching to decaf.
I should state, too, I have quite different views on freeway driving (as fast as is permissible or safe) versus around town (take it easy, there are people, me included, walking).
