Her being a regional CA was irrelevant because that's dime a dozen. It's a game and you gotta play the system. That was my only point. I think if you're at a regional today looking to get out, one of the best things you can do is get yourself on the hiring team and/or the team that goes to OBAP, WIA, NGPA, etc. That will open more doors than one would think.

Well, I can't argue against that....

BUT still impressive she was a Captain at 23.

That was somewhat common in the 2003-2007 regional boom, especially for the Gulfstream and RJ transition course guys. Today those days are back with many regionals offering about a 12 month upgrade. It can't be too hard for someone out of college with a R-ATP and get hired at a regional at 22 and upgrade at 23. That used to happen before.

The real impressive feat is getting hired at Delta Air Lines at that age. Or heck, anything in your 20s. At the moment from a good friend of mine who looked up the numbers and retirement data, only ~49 pilots at Delta are in their 20s. 49 out of ~13,300ish.
