Eagle Interview

Just put your home of residence while in the military. They dont care about you living on such and such base for 3 months for class/training and then going back home. There was a guy in the Navy in my interview class I'm sure he didnt put the Boat as his address. They are very understanding but also just want to see that you havent been off work for 10 years living with mom and dad waiting for them to 'buy' you a job somewhere.

PLEASE if your serious about coming here fill out the paperwork just like they want it and DONT try and hide anything. In my interview a guy came all the way from Croatia and they sent him home in 15 mins because of trying to hide something. Have a good attitude, be positive and have ALL of your paperwork ready. If you cant get something i.e. driving record before the interview tell them. Its usually ok as long as they know. They will just have you send stuff in afterward if you go through.

Yeah - everyone I have heard that has gone home has either been because Paper Work or sim. Seems like they really want to hire you.

Quick question for those that have gone through though - if you are delayed getting something ( for me it will be one of my driving records) will that hold you up as far as the captain board and class up?

My guess is yes, but it doesnt hurt to ask I suppose.

It may hold up your Capt. Board a little. Just overnight it as soon as you get it. Class dates come after passing the board so the quicker you get the info to them the sooner your to the board etc. I had a driving record not show up by the interview also. It did 3 days later and I just overnighted it and a couple days later heard I passed the board so they get it to the board asap once they get it.

Kind of freaking out a bit- just got my driving record from a state I lived in 5 years ago- noticed a ticket from 4/2005 that I didn't disclose on airlineapps.com

Is this going to hurt me?

yea, i've got a few things that aren't on my airline apps as well. guess i'll be calling them and letting them know. i dont want to go if all thats gonna happen is i get there and get sent home. especially when i know about this stuff even before i go.

Definitely call them and let them know. Make sure that you also alert them in the HR interview as soon as you can just to be proactive.

How dead on do your times need to be; specifically when it comes to PIC and dual received in a particular aircraft? Im filling out the application and am missing a good bit of time as compared to my actual logbook. The problem arose while subtracting PIC from dual received times.

The instrument rating, whenever you got checked out in a plane, high performance endorsement were all PIC and dual given.

PIC and dual given.

Which you can't do in AirlineApps. Hence why the question was asked! Bretthull, there's a big red link in the top right corner that says instructions. Click it, read it, follow it to the "T." Time logged as dual received and pic can only be recorded in the app as dual received. Pretty sure these companies are well aware of the differences. They're easy to explain. You logged it both ways legally. AirlineApps is just messed up. ;)

I read the instructions, I guess my concern is that my airlineapp might have more PIC in a particular type than my actual logbook. For instance if one were to have 10 more hrs PIC in a particular aircraft than in the actual logbook, would this be grounds for not getting the job. Somewhere along the way my totals on airlineapps as compared to my actual times dont match up and I know it has something to do with their (airlineapps) weird rules on logging PIC.

Isn't airlineapps "dumbed"* down? I'm curious as to how you have more PIC in airline apps than in your actual logbook. Not criticizing at all. I'm sure there's a plethora of circumstances I can't think of right now.

*They take quite a bit of legal PIC time away from the app.

87 questions? There is no written exam for the AE interview! If your refering to questions people said they got asked I would say yes most of the gouges are right on as far as what they are asked and its usually 5 of those quesitons or so.. not the whole thing.

Some of it is probably also due to rounding errors, since AirlineApps rounds all hour entries to the nearest whole number. If you have a large number of flights in a particular make and model it could add up. Hopefully the airline would be aware of such a factor.
