Eagle Interview

What kind of systems questions are they asking?
Do I need to study twin systems even though it's been about a year since I've flown in it?
Or will my current airplane (C-172) be enough?

He asked me what plane I wanted to talk about. I hadnt flown a twin since last October but talked about it anyway. He asked weights (Max takeoff, Max ramp), how much fuel (total and usable), and asked what Vyse, Vmc, etc. mean. He didnt want to know the specific numbers just what they mean. We maybe spent 2 minutes on it total. Just have the basics down and youll be fine.

Hey guys, joined a few months back, just been lurking ever since.

Got the email about setting up an interview. Left a voicemail on Friday about an interview, and I've called this morning twice and got a voicemail both times (didn't leave another voicemail besides the one on Friday).

Been studying a little bit each day. Ready to get this thing knocked out. Does anyone know what dates they have for this round of interviews?

Welcome to the boards. They interview Mondays through Thursday so finding a convenient date should not be a problem. Give them a call later this afternoon.

Its been awhile since I've logged on to this site but I just got an appointment to interview with American Eagle on Sept 7th. Anyone have the latest gouges for the interview? I'm a little stressed out since I'm not an instructor and have only logged about 6 hours in the last 6 months. Anyone have any advise and/or the latest interview gouge? Thanks!

I interviewed last week and the gouges are still spot on. Only difference was they had us shoot one approach instead. After doing the hold the flight director was turned off and we were given vectors to shoot the ILS raw data.

Where did they start you out from/to for the sim? Also, if you have any gouge on the interview, I would appreciate it. Just pm me. Thanks and good luck!

How spot on does my log book need to be. I have a few errors they I can't seem to get a grip on. I did an electronic book and was thinking of just making a fresh line item on the next page with my electronic times with a note. Would this suffice or do I need to go back and correct all the times old cfi's screwed up?

One hour a month ??? That is not good at all dude your currency is more than shot. Go get your self into a sim asap before your sim.

6 hours only?, try to beat my record, 2.5 years I didn't touch a plane.

why? because I am not US or not have green card.
stuck in europe with no job and the few jobs I have found are job for slaves without any futur.
I will not go to Aeagle even with US citizenship anyway, wait 12 hours in a plane without being paid. When you divide the 20'000$ by the number of hours you work or stand by, you are at minimum salary or under .(7.15$?)
I prefer to be a CFI in a small school, cargo, or business jet.
(I know they will not take me anyway, english is not my first language, my 11th language only...)

these regional companies only use you!

good luck

It was exactly as briefed.

Don't lie about training events (you will in fact get bounced FAST). Be honest. Have your books in order. And so on. Paperwork done, and in advance. It doesn't have to be perfect (I had one typo on AirlineApps and the HR guy said - "No problem, just cross it out, correct, and initial" and that was all that was said of that), but do be as perfect as practical.

Squeeze you really need to get your facts straight before coming into these threads with what you THINK is the truth. We dont spend 12 hours in the plane without getting paid every day. Plus almost EVERY airline major or not pays you for block time. Oh and there are several pilots in eagle alone that english is a second language for them. I have flown with guys from Greece, Italy, Sweeden, and Mexico.

Maybe its your sour attitude that wont get you hired.

To the rest of you that read the gouges online or already have class dates. Congrats. See you on the line.

If you don't mind sharing what are you TT & do U have a degree, just to figure out why I haven't been called yet.

How long ago did you apply? It took me about a month to hear back.

I've got 1650 TT and 200 multi. I applied almost a year ago when I was flying about 120 hours a month and was studying pretty regularly. I kind of gave up on the whole professional pilot thing so I sold my airplane last November and decided to have surgery on my shoulder due to an old injury. Had I known I still had a chance, I would have kept myself current, put off the surgery and not sold my airplane. So its been three weeks since I was scheduled for my interview and I've flown about 6 hours in a twin and another 12 hours in a Frasca, practiced god knows how many holds and approaches. I'm more ready now than I've ever been. So now I say, "Bring it on"!

Just doing a last minute check of all my paperwork for my eagle view coming up. When it says to "Sign in ink using your legal signature, then enter the date of the request." Is this to say that the date I put should be my interview date or should I put the date I signed it (which is what I did).

I just don't want to be one of those people sent home in the first 10 minutes for paperwork.

Thanks!

What do you mean by "training events?" Like checkride failures, 121 training problems?
