Hiring tracking (opposite of furlough tracking)

Comair mailed out 100 recall notices on May 27. They are looking to bring back a minimum 70 pilots at this time.

Hi!

Horizon recalled. Evergreen, Atlas, National, Delta, Compass are hiring. CAL recalled. ASA guys can to go Vietnam to fly, if they want. There are LOTS of open jobs overseas: Japan, China, Korea, Vietnam, Middle East, Africa. The ME and Asia are where most of the jobs are. Between Etihad, Emirates and Qatar, they may need upwards of 4-5000 pilots by 2014. China is worse off!

Rumor I heard yesterday is 10 9E CAs scored Emirates interviews. Honestly, if we lose 6 of those guys....we're hosed from a staffing standpoint.

"Emergency" class of 5 just started at Cape Air. Picked up from another board.

About 1465 but only about 190 are going before AA starts recalling furloughs.

Is there a "throttle" for those guys like there is for XJ and Compass on the Delta side, or is it gonna be close to 3000 guys before AA hires off the street?

35 Eagle flowthroughs on 6/28 then 86 AA recalls then 190 Eagle flowthroughs then all the guys on furlough then about 350 more Eagle flowthroughs and finally the rest on at 50% of classes.

Cool. The 50% of the classes is what I was curious about. And those are just the guys that already have seniority numbers, right? What about the rest of the guys currently at Eagle?

Rumor mill says 9E might be opening up apps soon, but it'll be on AirlineApps instead of the website. 1000/200 is what the projected mins will be. Pretty much what is was back in the early 2000s.

The only guys with numbers are the 35, 190 and 350 the rest is just slots in new hire classes.

Any news on the home front with you all? Things picking back up? Furloughs back or are they gone for good? Hope everythings going well man!

Nope, unfortunately still very slow here. We're still adjusting to the company's restructuring. No telling what we'll look like as a dept when the music stops.

But do you get an unlimited data plan? :)

Don't get me started on that. I went out and bought an iPad just so I could register the unlimited plan before today.

Of course, now the "no strings attached" cancel whenever you want to plan is in effect a de-facto "forever contract" because if I ever cancel it even for 1 second I won't be able to select the unlimited plan again.

Just hired at USA Jet into the DC-9. They're hiring into a pool, but draining it fairly quickly. I'm not sure how much hiring is left, or what their numbers are loking like at this point.
