Hiring tracking (opposite of furlough tracking)

Do you know how to apply? I check there website and theres no option for pilots to apply... Just crew scheduling...

They changed the website a while back, and the hiring link is gone. From what I hear, hiring is pretty much at a stand still for now, but it will pick back up later on as the planes they got from SAS start coming on-line. I think right now the only way to get stuff into Allegiant is to know someone. Maybe later they'll re-open hiring on the website.

Well I can say it looks as if things are indeed turning around I was Hired by commut air and I am really happy about that. They seem like a great group of people I am truly excited about it. I look forward to flying with some of you in the near future. PS my interview was last week and it was great.

Congrats!

I'm just curious, if you don't mind me asking but what were your times and experience?

Hey guys thanks for the well wishes. It looks like it is going to be great fun flying with them. You asked about previous time and experience. I think I probably had much more time than the average applicant but I could be wrong in these tough times. I have 3800tt with an ATP multi over 1000 multi pic and some jet and turbo prop time though no previous 135 or 121 time. I also have CFI,CFII, and MEI.
I am sure many of you ask why I would go to a regional at this point but it is really simple I want to keep moving in my career. I am willing to start at the bottom in the airline world and pay my dues. I was planning on staying in the corporate world for my career but right now that has dried up due to the economy and I was laid off over a year ago so after instructing again just to keep in an aircraft I have finally decided to go and fly with CommutAir. Honest to goodness I am very excited about this opportunity and cannot wait for class to start.

Best of luck to you.

Who is next?

Thanks surreal really nice of you to say. Lets hope and pray that everyone gets one soon. I hate hearing about fellow pilots out of work like I basically was. Just keep flying my friends, keep flying!!!

Actually that seems to be right on par with all of the interviewees that have been coming through here in the past few days. I will say that you are probably slightly above average for my class (highest being a 27,000 hour Midwest guy and lowest being 1400 hour CFI/Corp.)

Good luck with training, you sure picked a good one to get on with because EVERYONE here has been so great. Good luck again.

yes I am sure they have been great. I had nothing but great vibes throughout the whole interview process. I am very excited to get started.

PSA recalling 8 which leaves about 47 still out on furlough. Although not sure how many people have or will bypass.

I started class at Eagle last week, 12 total new hires in this class. Projecting to hire 20 per month with no end in sight currently.

42 to be recalled by Atlantic Southeast. 56 total notices going out in anticipation of bypass activations...

No hard dates yet though.

It does not. And I would.

I'm expecting to be back by summer of 2011, have a good contracting gig right now that I'm quite comfortable with so I'm not disappointed at all that it doesn't include myself.

Very happy for those returning to the line. Many of us have gotten really close over the past year, very good news for our guys and girls.

I hear ya. Good news indeed. Seems like the last couple months, there has been more good news than bad. I know here at Mesaba, I was supposed to be gone in April. That got cancelled and it was hinted that we would be furloughed in August. Now it looks like I'll have a job at least through the end of the year. We need it. Morale in this industry has been in the crapper the last year.

Hi!

Horizon recalled. Evergreen, Atlas, National, Delta, Compass are hiring. CAL recalled. ASA guys can to go Vietnam to fly, if they want. There are LOTS of open jobs overseas: Japan, China, Korea, Vietnam, Middle East, Africa. The ME and Asia are where most of the jobs are. Between Etihad, Emirates and Qatar, they may need upwards of 4-5000 pilots by 2014. China is worse off!
