Hiring tracking (opposite of furlough tracking)

Crossing my fingers and hoping class doesn't cancel like at OO a few years ago lol.... Nonetheless I'm hittin the books.

AirTran held interviews this week in MKE for former Midwest pilots. About 30 interviewed. I'm told that 7,000 hours total was about the minimum. A class of 21 newhires was held this week, but all were from the 2008 hiring pool. The next class will be in March, and will include the guys interviewed this week from Midwest. I'm told that we can expect at least 100 total newhires this year, so more will be coming either in the spring or fall. When the public application window opens, I'll keep everyone posted.

Any word on what they did with the apps that accidentally made it through when the window was open for the poolies? I'm guessing they just tossed them, but hopefully they're still there.

They're in the system. That's actually from where they pulled the Midwest pilots for the interviews.
