Our flight wasn't until 2 oclock on saturday...we called the airline to try and get either a earlier connection or a earlier flight in general and was told.... It will cost you $75.... So we decided to sleep in :)
 
Was it just me, or was MCI a terribly boring airport? Me and my buddy went through security, only to find that we were cordoned off in a tiny gate area with nowhere to eat or drink other than a crappy little concession stand. Most airports have the restaurants, bars and stores INSIDE security, not the other way around. Not to mention the fact that I only saw like, 2 planes depart while I was there.

lol, i know right. i sat outide the gate until they started boring, then 3 minutes later i was through security. the airport is a joke

The boringness and emptiness of the airport sets the tone for the entire city.

Did anyone go into the cowboy night club in the P&L District? Everybody was dressed in cowboy garb, and having a rootin tootin good time. I dont think I've ever wanted to be anywhere less, ever. Haha. Now, I'm not sure what's worse, cowboy bars or Guido bars.:confused:

thats a good point...guido bars, which are filled with d.o.u.c.h.e bag long islanders (im not one of them, but they are everywhere), are the worst kind. cowboys are weird, and maybe a little gay, but d.o.u.c.h.e bags are much worse...lol

sorry i had to fill out the word befor "bag" with all Periods, but it wouldnt let me write it..haha

That's the greatest video ever. You're right, that is much worse than gay cowboys. Unfortunately, they're not exclusive to Long Island or NYC. We have them here too, and they try a lot harder because they know they have to compete with a bunch of Irish drunks.
 
Any of you PEPC-ed applicants get the email for geo prefs for PUB 3?
If so- are you going to fill in geo prefs for PUB 3 on the basis that a PUB 2 TOL is just a TOL until its final?

Thank goodness I get to go to ORD tomorrow! It'll be nice to see a real airport again. Wonder how long I'll be getting delayed...

I applied to just about every announcement and plan to keep on filling them out... :)

Your absolutely correct- I just spoke with the CTI coordinator at my school and they said to apply to every announcement (CTI or PUB), respond to every email, and constantly update your asap with new job details until your FOL is in your hand and you have a date for the academy.

As for the geo prefs for Pub3 that Pub2 applicants got- she reccomended to use the same states, comments, etc and fill them out before that Dec 9th deadline- even if you have a TOL and have PEPC-ed.

Yeah... I'm gonna go sit in a corner and cry now.

The Angels rock bar right next door is a better time... Friday night I watched some guy offer up his dinner all over the bathroom, only to be "gently" escorted outside by security...
 
so whats an acceptable amount of time after the pepc before we can start calling our HR reps to make sure our crap is ok? say 2 weeks? i dont know if i should count this week because i know they arent working tomorrow, and probably not friday.

Were you at the KC PEPC? If so, I doubt that calling anytime before Christmas is going to do you any good. My HR rep said it would be 4-6 weeks, easy. I probably won't start harassing mine until after the 1st of the year.

I have been thinking....after sifting through old pepc threads...and looking at signatures.... I'd be willing to bet there will be a few Kansas City pepc terminal folks that end up in Oklahoma city in December.... I know thats fast...but I wouldn't put it past the FAA...:rolleyes:

maybe its wishful thinking.
