I hear they're going off awesomely. I'm looking forward to the Atlanta thrashing next week.

I see what you did there.

The q&a is utter bs too.

There isn't a damn thing in our current contracts that is in any way responsible for our horrible performance as a company. The fact that even the union is on board with the "increasing performance through boning th pilot group" is exactly why I'm a solid no.

Poor message construction. Remember who is writing all of this junk that they are sending you.

Don't forget to read the realities of the industry, written to us as if we are clueless to our profession...another gem.

Who is writing the items you are being sent?

The company knows they are gonna be boned with the new regs and no pilots in the pipeline to hire...so the only fix is to increase productivity by drastically changing the scheduling section of our contract. Boom. Crappy contract.

The new regs reduce productivity, so they can only do so much.

No duty-rigs and being obligated to return messages for all scheduling changes means to a pilot a lot longer days with only originally scheduled pay. I assure you, sir, they will use the piss outta this

No. Unfortunately, when that message was approved before 0000 on the 3rd, ALPA's archaic AMES messaging system took WAAAAAAAAY too long to actually transmit. But no, not the same guy.

Plus, honestly, I don't feel it is our place to spread the word for the Company. The Company told us two times SkedPlus would be down.

So what do you guys think the middle-aged very senior guys are thinking? I just talked to a couple of them. They know it's a crap sandwich, yet aren't planning to leave. What do you think their plan is? Are they just hoping the wheels don't come off? Are they just overly optimistic that being in the top 200 will protect them for the next 20 years?

That's a serious question.

The guy I'm flying with this week is a 6 year reserve captain who hasn't been bothered to apply to any airlines yet. Who knows what the hell these guys are thinking.
