WN Hiring (Mar '23)

It's come to my attention that there have been applicants who have lied on their application about years of DX experience.
Please keep in mind and remember which company you're representing. It could hurt your chances and other applicants chances to get hired in the future. In other words, don't go digging yourself your own hole.
Why would someone lie abt DX experience?!
I safely assume SWA will verify previous employment.i mean if people lie abt experience just imagine what else on their resume is “true”.
Plus DX is a very small world as we all know

There was talk here about circumnavigating the auto reject for the experience questions. It’s how some say they got in with less than 1y experience. What kind of lying is involved? Is it how they interpreted their experience? There’s also the always applying if you want it. C’mon man!

Is there a “too much experience” at WN? With 4 years and currently at a major, I was kinda surprised to not get the assessment, just have the “In progress” status.

Out of curiosity, what would cause you to want to leave a major and switch to WN?

Tbf, 100k is 100k. Not a bad start in DFW. Wait it out, maybe get lucky with rents in South Dallas and get some good time in while you wait for that call. Reasonable imo

Given the current age demographics at the majors, its probably not advisable to give up that major seniority number. The contracts and workplaces have negligible differences. COL differences have also become much less than they used to be. All the majors have hired hundreds over the past decade. At SWA, you are looking at a very long stay at the bottom of the table. Especially so if there is a hiring pause during the FlightKeys roll out. Theres a high probability you might never make it above middle seniority at SWA given the large amount of hiring they have done.

FlightKeys is a good point. My shop as well as others have hired a bit of extra people to fill the gap while others are going through FK training. If they are over hiring for training reasons, could this mean the majors switching to it won’t have to hire again for some time?

Also, anyone know what bottom seniority looks like at WN? Curious with them being mostly Domestic and don’t seem to have a huge amount of red eyes.

I’m currently at a major, since 2021 we have lost 8 to other majors. We have also hired 4 from the other big 3. It happens more then you would think, for most that left, it was family/closer to home for their reason to leave. Yes, the loss in seniority would sting but to some being at home or close to home is better then being alone in a city they have zero family in.

Any 2 nd round interview invites yet?
I doubt we'll see anything until Friday. It did say it could take up to 10 days from testing completion. If they are looking to hire 40 for one class, I bet they'll use all 10. Just like everyone else, my heart will sink into my butt every time I get an email notification.

What was your score?
I had 380

Has anyone had issues with their application through their website? I applied initially and under my profile is doesn't show that I have it saved under jobs applied for. Tried re-applying after that and it's says I already applied.
