WN Hiring (Mar '23)

For anyone that took the Southwest test today..... How'd it go?

I feel as if it was definitely a challenging test, there were some easy give-me questions towards the end. What did you all think? I think I did okay, but not expect to be continuing the hiring process due to my score.

Score: 290 out of 400.

What sort of stuff was on it?

My session had some technical difficulties. At 5-10 minutes into the test, it kicked everyone out saying they exceeded the allotted time. I was able to finish on the second try they gave everyone.

Word of advice for anyone taking the assessment... Mute your mic and use the chat feature if you have a question. The proctor will announce anything over their mic should they need to.

Just finished the test there were some poorly worded questions on there however I am happy with my score.

390/400
You got that right !

What’s the target score to potential face to face interviews?historically speaking.
And how long after the test does SW in the past notify candidates about advancing?

Sort of complicated. I don't think I've ever heard a definitive answer, but the rumor was they took the top x people in each group. In my experience that usually worked out to needing an 80% or better. The last time I took it a couple years ago it seemed like those who moved on where 90% or better.

With everything being said, I believe there's more of an oral theory type assessment if anyone gets invited to DAL. The hard part isn't over quite yet.

Dispatch stuff.
I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't by any means looking for anyone to divulge confidential information about the specifics of the test; I was just curious to get a general overview of what sort of things can be expected since it can definitely be a lot trickier studying for dispatch interviews as opposed to say pilot interviews since there's so much less information out there on what to study up on

They just finished testing. Too soon to be issuing interview invites. Give it until Friday for them to process the results.

It's come to my attention that there have been applicants who have lied on their application about years of DX experience.
Please keep in mind and remember which company you're representing. It could hurt your chances and other applicants chances to get hired in the future. In other words, don't go digging yourself your own hole.
