United reaching out to ALPA FFD Carriers

Now if it were only as easy to block the ATAs/TAB Express/CAPT/JetUs that are basically doing the same thing charging people for a "chance" to meet with a recruiter......

I know that if I was in regional airline management, I'd have my people there taking pictures and getting names of attendees and comparing them against my sick call list for that day.

You sound perfect for a regional airline management team.

He won't be answering.

My wife's first job out of college was doing the marketing and student enrollment at Tab Express...

I wrote to get the info on Tab Express. I ran the other direction when I saw the guy who's signature was printed at the bottom of the form letter was the same guy I talked to when I checked out Airline Training Academy before they locked the doors and ran with everyone's money. This is the same guy that told me there was a pilot shortage about 5 times in 15 minutes when their partner airline (ASA) was in the middle of furloughs. I'm sure there were people that worked for those places that were either not in on the game or in the wrong place at the wrong time, so I certainly don't blame them for having a job. But some of those guys (like the guy I'm talking about) likely knew exactly what they were doing and saying.

They used her to try and sell me a $50k King Air transition course after I was already instructing as a CFI/I/MEI. All those guys knew what they were doing. I'm sure there are the same stories in other industries fed by dreams.

Sounds like when ERAU got their King Air C90 in the early 1990s for their "high altitude signoff course" that they charged an arm and a leg for, however the plane seemed to only be used as some kind of executive transport for the Riddle higher ups...
