Houston Tower I'm, going from off the street to a level 12 tower in just 13 short months, what did I get myself into??

Oh wow, scary! :panic: I'm an OTS and headed to RVS which is a level 8, and that's scary enough! j/k. I'm sure they will equip us with everything we need to know before we actually have to work traffic. Good luck to you :)

I was wanting Houston Tower but I got Houston Center instead. I toured the tower here in Houston and it seems like a good place to work, congrats on your FOL.
 
I haven't been following the posts as closely lately, but those in terminal at MEM PEPC have any of y'all gotten dates for OKC that are before October?

Also, were people at previous PEPCs somewhat able to push back their OKC date if you wanted to wait a little bit (when they got their TOL)? If so when you get your FOL now, are you able to have any input on your OKC date?

I'm going enroute so obviously I'm in a different boat when it comes to OKC classes, but my HR did say she would call me when everything is done to discuss a class date. Looks like they may give you a few dates to choose from and at that time you may even be able to push for something earlier if it's available. Seems like they're open to work with you at that point.
 
I don't have my FOL yet. It should be emailed soon, but I have a class date of October 2nd and I'm enroute. Other class dates I was offered were October 31st and November 19th.

Hmm.. Oct 2nd, too soon for me. Oct 31st, I'd rather not start on a major holiday... Nov 19th sounds awesome!

How do you have an okc start date for Oct 2nd? According to the course schedule there is not a basics class that starts in Oct.
 
I just got am email back from my contact asking me if SCK would be acceptable. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: I wanted NCT, but I guess not going to one of the busiest TRACONs OTS is a bit of a blessing, but that means two more weeks in OKC.
 
All these facility switch arounds are making me nervous!
I hope they don't pull the old switcharoo on me in the end!:crazy:
 
You guys are lucky, the word I recv'd from my POC is that she hasn't recv'd anything for the Memphis PEPC folks. Strange because all I hear is that people are getting confirmations that certain parts, if not all aspects of your clearance are good to go. I wonder what gives in my region.
 
I may be looking for a roommate, either for Fairways at Moore or Walnut Gardens. Gimmie a PM if you are interested! If i don't get a pm at tomorrow at 3pm I won't need a roommate! :-)
