the official "waiting for FOL from MEM PEPC" thread

I was contacted last week about an OKC date, but they had me in as an Enroute in the computer, but paperwork was correct for Terminal. She said she would pass my info to the terminal people, but haven't heard anything. I do know my clearance passed b/c I asked when she called me.

I'll give them until Wednesday and then I'll call, just to make sure all is still in line.
 
Word of advice, I don't know how they do terminal side, but if it is the same as enroute and everything is processed based on the order it was received. When you get in contact with the new people that get your clearance paper work, I would ask them how their computer's screw up is going to affect the timeframe for you to get your fol. When they say they are not sure, contact the enroute people that got your clearances and see if you can find the date they received everything. I don't know if that information is with your paperwork or not. Basically, in a nutshell, make sure the next people that get your paperwork slip it in the appropriate spot in line. Or you might find yourself waiting a long time seeing your real fol. good luck

Also, I would call them Tuesday and not Wendsday...I played the passive game and I am still waiting so keep on them and make sure your stuff goes where it needs to.
 
Well its been 5 weeks now I called last week and got the "all my clearances are in and good just waiting on a class date response". Anybody know whats taking so long to get terminal class dates. I thought they where all out. I don't want to bug Elaine but my wife and I lives are kinda on hold until we get some answers and I don't want to be "that guy" who keeps calling and pissing them off. Just curious if anyone else has heard of a reason for a hold up?

Don't be afraid to call. Their job is to answer questions and like you said your life is in limbo because of this. Just be polite as possible and ask whatever questions you have.
 
Yeah, don't be afraid to call. What I have done is ask them all my questions and then if they say they are not sure, I ask for a timeframe of when they might know. Usually, get a good answer of when to call back to find out if they have any more information. It makes the waiting time a bit easier because you have something to wait for...even if what your waiting on is to make another phone call to get more information.
 
I called Charlene yesterday around 1750hrET and according to her voice mail they had a water main break there yesterday and weren't in the office. They are supposed to be back in today. I left a message requesting an update and verifying my info is where it needs to be.
 
I just got off the phone with Charlene!!!! (18th time is the charm I guess, I can't knock her though, she seems nice) and as it's been posted on here she reiterated that they are in the process of revising the academy schedule and as soon as they're done (she has no idea when) they will continue/resume sending out the FOL's
 
Can i get a whoop whoop? My medical clearance is in...just waiting on background check...now I can put my crazy hat back on
 
Thanks for the advice everybody. I emailed my HR Rep on Monday and no answer so I called her on Tuesday. She said that she has enough clearances in to schedule me for school but she will not be scheduling until Wednesday or maybe early next week. So cross your fingers! By the way, what does "enough clearances" mean? Does that mean they only need a certain percentage of your reference letters back to clear you? Or they can get a certain smaller percentage to schedule your school and then they need more before you are official? No idea but hopefully I do get scheduled soon.

What facility are you headed to?
 
I got my FOL yesterday in E-mail form. My HR rep said he has an intern currently working on the hard copy versions, which I assume will be mailed out soon. I'm headed to the En Route Basics class on October 21st. Anyone with me?
 
I got my class date a while ago, but my friends and old employers started getting yesterday. Almost gave one of my friends mom a heart-attack when she saw a letter from the FBI with my friends name on it.
 
I feel like the last kid picked for kick ball not hearing anything..... Why does everyone always pick on the chubby kid.....
 
Maybe us chubby atcers should unite we could revolt against the FAA fitness center thread
And hold our meetings at the sizzler..... Naa I'm to lazy back to my dominos and beer

Does anyone know what level of security clearance those of us going En Route will be granted? Just curious.
