Skywest Questions

Which is funny, because there's at least one other regional, probably 2, that have a list a mile long of guys who have 5+ years of seniority that would love to have a left seat in a DCI operation in DTW...
Which is why I never understand people that WANT to be lifers at a regional. We (collectively) don't own the flying and it always shifts between the lowest bidder. I'm sure there's a bunch of SKW people with 5+ years seniority that live in or near, or would have an easier commute to, IAH. But that ain't gonna happen. C'est la vie. Hopefully it keeps pilots hungry to move on.

That's exactly it.

Why is the MD88 and 717 upgrade so short for SouthernJets in NYC?

Because ain't nobody got time fo dat.

Interesting to see what happens to that when NYC 88 closes in May. The anguished cry from the displacements will be yougge!

Bigly. And it will be SAD. The arrival of the CS is goign to be interesting. A lot of guys have "New Plane Syndrome" so I'm wondering how (sen/jun)ior it's going to go.

Honestly? I'm contemplating the whole instructor/ LCA thing on it. That, or NYC 7ER A.

Interesting note: there's only 46 senior bidders for DTW 350 A currently.

Bid it.

Seriously. So many guys don't bid stuff because they want to "wait and see" then someone much more junior to them gets the bid and they launch into "AutoBitch Mode" because they think they got screwed. "Sqroot" if you're DTW based as in "Daaaaah! I got SQROOT in da merger". :)

Can you imagine the gnash clusters that would form of I got that award! Chitchat would literally melt down the interwebs. Blood would freely flow in the lounges. Cat and dogs, living together. Mass pandemonium!

I think I'll do it.

That just happened at my regional, in regards to opening an ATL base. Whole bunch of guys living down that direction, didn't bid ATL in order to stay where they're at, because "I don't know if the schedules are going to be good or not". Who cares, if its a much shorter commute.

Or they wanted to keep their precious 2 FMS's and crappy crew "meals"

SLC folks

Any suggestions on AME's with a price under $100? If not I'll just take any name that's in town.
