Skywest Questions

Meanwhile at ExpressJet.

I feel really bad for them. Not only does OO steal their 175s, they are getting back their old 145s that TransStates has abused for the last few years. At least their mechanics will have some job security and plenty of overtime opportunities for a while...

Ugh... if United is your #1, is there really a place to go now???

Aviate has had mixed success and is probably just a staffing program. But geez, I still feel bad for XJT.

I say in three to five years there will only be three regional airlines left providing service for Delta and United. SkyWest will be one of them.

I’m sure is not Skywest that makes those calls. United whipsawing

To a point. We may be able to (barely) staff them, but OO could have said no to the planes. UA can’t force SkyWest to take planes but I’m more than certain that the folks in SGU were more than happy to offer up their services.

There's a reason that airlines don't want a union on property, and that is cost. Skywest can do a decent job cheaply at the expense of their pilot group's willingness to bend over and grab their ankles. That's why they have screwed over so many other airlines.
