As someone who is finishing up the hours and considering 121 mostly due to the fact that ORD is a short drive away from the family mansion, huh??
ORD no more for the new hires?
I'll need an adult beverage if so. First Envoy shrinking the ORD base, if this happens, Air Whisky is going to be the only NH base option at the end of the year.
The last class to get ORD was Jan 15

oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

woops my bad.

Anyway if someone wants ORD hella bad ask for the ERJ. You'll get ORD no matter what.
Like the guy who was the plug at Eagle in my class.

"Well...I guess I'd like SJU ATR, please."

He was a good sport about it, if nothing else.

That would be January 17th. We all got ORD. The class after us all got ORD and AFAIK the class after that all got ORD too. Still keeping my fingers crossed for SFO one of these days.

You will likely get it sooner than you think. The West Coast was super juniour before you got on with ORD being the stagnant base, but the base shuffle is a dynamic beast.

For example, 2015 classes were being sent to ORD with the West Coast locked up for quite some time. However, the tide changed and the West Coast went super juniour. You can actually see it by looking at the seniority list in the West Coast bases. However, the amount of transitions and openings could extend the time to get SFO. Not sure how close to holding a line you are in ORD, but you may not be reserve to long in ORD depending on movement/upgrades.

Good luck and look forward to seeing all y'all that want the West Coast move on over!

After viewing the yoga pants non rev post someone mentioned that some airlines instruct their employees not to wear their ID badges. I looked through the travel manual and can't find a clear answer to this one. Any thoughts?

I can't find it either...

My move so far has been to wear business casual and wear the ID under my shirt. Problem solved. I won't lose my ID and no one can see it.

I non-rev in uniform 95% of the time. Does that make me a dork? Sure, we'll go with that. But it also saves a tremendous amount of time, effort and energy, and I stay 100% in compliance with policy. I have lots of uniform shirts and pants, and I just donated the last of my (male) business casual clothing to Goodwill as of this week.

(I have no idea what female business casual is, actually...)

Oh, and so since I'm non-reving in uniform, I don't lose my liquids when I go through security, or take my laptop out, or get as molestered as normal. And so yes, I wear my badge.
