Skywest Questions

Yeah, definitely misleading. But I pretty much assume I'll lose the DL bennies if I transfer over, which is a bummer since they're so much better than Uniteds
 
So far it looks like 2 years, 4 months for the latest upgrade. That is crazy... Never thought that would happen here. Very happy to see it!
 
Soooo

Apparently Skywest is venturing into investing in flight schools now to create a zero to hero program....possibly. This should be interesting.

It's WAY better. I'm transitioning over in a week. I just finished a 24 hr 4 day in the CRJ with 17 legs. You guys are doing 24hr 4 days with half that amount of flying. Also you can drop drips and actually get days off.

For now... Give it a year and it's going to be the same thing. We have more TVC, MSN, CLE, CVG turns then ever. The biggest thing is what line are you going to hold. I bet you can hold better 700 lines then what you are going to get on the ERJ. I think the biggest thing is if you above me, please stay on the CRJ ;) haha

I'll be bidding about 15% on the ERJ....but upgrade might be as soon as the fall so I might not even get any real time in the ERJ :eek2::eek2:

Just be sure you get 1000 121. I lucked out and snuck in as the plug on the next award due to a guy from my newhire not having the time (long story, don't wanna give stuff away about him, hes a great dude)

Been here over 2 yrs, already got it! Congrats on the upgrade though!!! I'm a 6/14 hire so it looks like upgrade is coming WAY sooner than I thought it ever would!

Yep. I had planned at the beginning of this year to be ready by April 2017. Boy was I wrong.

Thanks dude, I'm so excited. Now I can finally show skywesters that I'm not that guy Flip69 that comments here and on APC on Skywest thread. I'm the real one.

Me too! I was planning Spring/Summer next year.

I've been super annoyed that I got bypassed for the 175 back this winter, but now it's actually working out perfectly. Had I been awarded it when I bid, I'd be seat locked until March of next year, but since I got skipped I don't get locked in seat, so I can literally go get my type, do maybe a couple months and if things keep going the way they are, go upgrade!

Since you were just awarded it, do you know when class would start for you?

Same deal, bypassed in March told august class (bypass pay end of june) realized upgrade was way too close and withdrew the 175 bid. Thankfully. Id like to have done the type, but also 6 or so months of flying. Worked out in the end.
