Shocking news, Dan Gryder is a POS

So who is Israel and who is Palestine in this deal? Seems like one of those “I’m glad all parties are way over there in Georgia” kind-of deals.

Well, maybe both are both. That being said, Gryder's resume post being canned from Delta for trying to run over police officers with a DC-3 was just the start...

I'm uncertain what Delta has to do with this. Are you going to try to tear them down because they're at the top of the heap of US airlines? They do what they and other folks do, they just do it better. Rather than trying to find the cracks in that castle perhaps you might try to emulate that castle. Sub Commander uniforms and hats seem to convey a sense of professionalism that the public wants when they put their lives into the hands of these people. Think about a surgeon, if your mom was going to go under for a major surgery would you want the doctor to show up in cut-off sweats, flip flops and a trucker hat? That sloppy dude might be the best surgeon ever but if you say you'd be comfortable I'd say you're being dishonest. Airline pilot is an aspirational job. Once you get there you should treat it as such. Wear the • hat and the uniform and do your job. I'm not saying saying I hate pilots, I have friends that are pilots and I are one but in this space it seems as if trying to tear down is more important than building up. You got a number at an airline and that's what you're going to base the rest of your career on, that doesn't mean you have to base the rest of your life on it.

You boot licking Delta was not on my bingo card
I haven't flown Delta in quite a while. The fact that you say I'm licking boots is funny. My comment about them being better than your airline hurt your feelings and you had to respond. Just do your job better and encourage your coworkers to do the same. Why is this my problem? Given a choice if the fares are comparable I'll book a flight on Delta first. I'm not your coworker or colleague, I'm the customer.

Once again your lack of basic reading comprehension is simply astounding. The only reason Delta was mentioned is because that happens to be where Gryder was fired from.

Is this in response to me talking about Delta? He worked there and was fired from there...

I can barely identify a Delta pilot uniform to be honest, I doubt the public can.........at least to the point of saying "thats a delta pilot" rather than "thats an airline pilot". And I'd say it is pretty uncommon as a passenger to even lay eyes on the pilots once on the plane. Maybe after the fact, depending on airplane layout, once you're getting off. I do appreciate a well-kept appearance, and the notion of "looking the job". God knows there are some pilots that take up two normal seats. But Delta has those too. There's nothing special about getting hired at Delta vs United vs American vs wherever. People might want to make it sound different, but it isn't. This isn't really a "merit" based hiring world. Dumb f***s get hired everywhere, just like smart guys, and everything in between. At every major. Your number hit above some magical HR screen cutoff, and you probably wore a suit a few times at job fairs or knew someone. You could've scared everyone for every single one of your 5000 hrs, and nearly crashed on every landing. As long as you can make it through what is quite honestly the easiest flight training in the world, aka a 121 course, nobody will ever know unless you break something. Being a major airline pilot is an important job and I guess an accomplishment, but it isn't the flex people think it is. I guess maybe that was your closing point. It is a bizarre identity to base your life on, since your "success" is basically just seniority and not necessarily skill (though of course in many cases the skill is commensurate).
