Pubnat 5/6

I'm leaning toward Isola as well - 2 meals, shuttle service, gym , ponds to fish (if it not too cold) - anyone bringing a car? I assume Isola will have parking right?

Wow... I'm actually surprised that somebody recognized it. It's definitely one of the smoothest brews out there, and considering that it's $12.99/case, I can't really see any reason NOT to drink it as much as possible while I'm waiting for a class date.

plenty of parking.

I was thinking about bringing my car with me.. just so I have transportation taken care of, but i have to move to hawaii right after I grad so i'd have to find a buyer or something. don't know if it's worth the hassle when I could just get rid of it in advance.

You could sell unthreaded bolts on craigslist.....especially in Oklahoma.....you can get rid of your car trust me.
 
Dudes I think I will be driving to the Academy everyday, I have never trusted buses to get me where I need to be, on time (10 minutes early, OOORAH). I've any of you are living where I am at the time, you can always bum a ride off me....I have a big tundra pickup so I can fit three dudes (one chick) J/K I am married. My only rule is: No vectoring will be attempted from any other seat but the drivers seat. :laff: Still trying to nail down where I'm going to stay...

I live in Georgia and i decided to just drive because if i left my ride behind i am sure i will be wising i just drove once i get there. Anyone know if Isola will let you sign just a 2-3 month lease and will it be cheaper to try and get a 2 bedroom with a room mate or just a one bedroom?
 
The people who didn't have vehicles in my Basics class were wishing they did after day 1. Bring your vehicle.

If you can find a roommate to split costs with, Montclair Parc is a good place to stay if you don't mind renting furniture, setting up cable/electric, and all that. In total, sharing an apartment with someone else brings my expenses to about $23/day, so I'm pocketing the rest of the per-diem.

Even though I know Terminal folks wont know academy dates until mid to late this month, it is sooooooo tempting to call my HR rep......I feel like Stewie Griffin in the episode where he's like "Mum, Mum, Mum, Mommy, mommy, mum, mama mama, mama, mama, mum.......HI HEHEHEHEHE!"

Yeah. Isola, and many other housing providers in OKC, is used to Academy people coming and going. You're not going to get locked into an 11 month lease or anything.

No more air mattress! LOL

I got my bed delivered by CORT the day after I got here. I must say, it's pretty comfortable, even for a rental.

If i had to rate the furniture I got from CORT on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 9.5. Reason for the deduction of 1/2 a point? Because I have no idea what it has been through before me. That aside, it's some of the most comfortable furniture I've ever had the pleasure of "using"

Nice. I'll have to keep CORT in mind. Hopefully I'll make it down there before December. My optimism remains undaunted.
