I haven't heard much coming from either of my two preferences (KY & CO), has anyone else? I figured I'd be hearing a lot more out of CO especially. I put it mainly because I'd love to live in Denver, but not much activity seems to be coming from there. Maybe they're saving all of Denver for tomorrow :laff:

I got a misdirected notification for a Colorado terminal position.

Then I got my actual notification for an Alaska terminal position. I wouldn't give up hope that there are still more notifications forthcoming. :bandit:
 
I just got a "correction" email saying I got selected for Alaska instead of Alabama. I already got confirmation on my pepc date. Do I have to get a new one, or can I keep the same date?
 
I have a question... Is it possible that you could get selected by both states you picked? I ask because I picked PA as 1st and AZ as second and I havent seen anything for pa yet, so is it possible I got picked for pa and automatically not looked at for AZ? Just curious, still hopefull....

I would reply to the new e-mail as well, just confirming that you have the same date. I replied to my original e-mail for the 6/24 PEPC, and I sent a second e-mail when I got my corrected notice (also to Alaska, funny enough). When I received my PEPC confirmation, they had included my second e-mail in the notice. So I would just respond to the second to confirm.

I believe they try to get everyone their first choice if possible, I also have PA as my first and NY as second. I have seen some ppl with NY letters, but none with PA, my hope is that I got picked up for PA and those letters just have not gone out yet.

Personally, I would rather get picked up sooner if it's my second choice, but I believe the theory is that if they get people into their first choice state, they will be less likely to try to transfer later.

PA only has tower and UP/DOWN facilities, and it seems like a majority of these first letters were for TRACON and ARTCC facilities, another good reason to not give up hope.

I don't know if I already posted this..Got the PEPC invite yesterday. Tuesday at 11am. See y'all there! Has anyone gotten an invite since tuesday? Maybe since we have until next Wednesday to respond they are waiting til then to fill more spots. All speculation of course...

I'm pretty excited. My wife, on the other hand, is not so excited. We're going to take whatever they offer, even Fairbanks. We're just worried about getting up there. There doesn't seem to be any cheap ways to get up there with a car. We'll get it figured out, though.

Having been to Fairbanks for my January honeymoon, allow me to advise you to make that drive in the summertime :) We drove 365 miles from Anchorage to Fairbanks (the only "good" road in AK) and it was a sheet of ice the whole way.

The good thing about working at FAI is that it doesn't bother you to work the midnight shift. It's either light during your shift anyway or dark for everyone else's :)
 
Have a lot of people received a response to the pepc email (re: times for mon/tues)? I sent mine in over 24hrs ago, still haven't heard back - maybe I'm just paranoid - I'm beginning to think all of the wating is part of the psych exam.

I sent mine over 48 hours ago and still haven't heard back. Not worried at all. The confirmation emails are slowly trickling out. We'll hear back within the next few days I'm sure.

Fairbanks would be brutal, but I'm with you. I feel lucky to get anything at this point. I'm probably gonna try to redirect somewhere else if I get Fairbanks, but I'll be happy to take it if that doesn't work.
 
For those of y'all who may be interested, I've put together a Google Map of the SM members who've gotten emails. I'd include JC people, but to be honest, I don't want to spend the time to, not to mention that a lot of people post at both sites anyway.

Anyways, don't take it to necessarily represent the final outcome of these panels. For starters, nobody with a Terminal selection knows where they're headed inside the state, and the overwhelming ratio of En Route emails to Terminal emails (roughly 70-30) seems to suggest that they've barely gotten started sending the latter out. Besides, emails will take a week or two to finish anyway.

I received a response yesterday confirming my choice to go the Traditional route. It also gave me the location of my interview.
