Pubnat 5/6

I saw on SM you said you saw a lot of people were selected for WA state? I've seen 1 person get ZSE and only know of one person other than myself that got a terminal position, and they are CTI....

Yeah I've seen at least 4-5. I don't know if they were CTI or OTS though. And as far as I know there weren't many open positions there so my chances are greatly diminished

I'm under the impression that if your not going to get an email it would say "not being considered" or something like that in ASAP, right?
That won't come out for a few weeks. ASAP will not notify you if you were selected. I already received my invite and my ASAP still says "Your application is among those being reviewed...."

Just called aviation careers...they are pretty much worthless!

Has anyone seen Colorado other than that one that someone received with the wrong name on it?

Just got my Non-PEPC confirmation email:

You will be contacted within the next few weeks to schedule your interview at the (SEA) Seattle Tacoma International Air Traffic Control Tower in (SEATAC , Washington ).

The interview will take approximately one hour. You must be recommended as a result of the interview before any further processing takes place.

I think I've seen two. The one with the wrong name, and then one CTI one. I haven't seen Denver Center yet though, and from what I've heard, they need people pretty badly. So I'm holding out hope since CO is my 1st preference.

Hey how did you guys reply to the email? Did you just hit reply or did you call or fax? I emailed her back but then noticed the phone/fax numbers at the bottom of email. I've decided that I am way to nervous about screwing something up. :) forgive my excessive neurosis. Good thing I'm not going into the psych eval!!

I would assume just press reply.

Terminal Ohio

From what I have seen, only ZOB invites from Ohio. I guess each state has terminal invites that go out in mass. I haven't seen any Ohio terminals yet, along with quite a few states.

Does anyone know where the PEPC in Chicago is located....is it the one in Des Plaines, IL. I think there is a Hyatt right next to that FAA building. Any takers? I'm trying to find a hotel close.

I know I could wait till my confirmation email, but the FAA space time continuum suggests I wont have confirmation until 2034

UTAMAV:bandit:

I called my HR person today and they were unable to give me an exact address for the Chicago PEPC. They did however, let me know that it would be in Des Plaines. Hopefully that helps wrap some things up for people. I have some flight and hotel points needing to be used, so being a month away should hopefully give me enough time to pull it off.

I am going to call back tomorrow and speak with the PEPC person directly. She was out of the office today. Do my best to get the address on here when I receive it.

Yep, you did it right. Just reply to the email with the info they ask for. Then wait for your PEPC date confirmation email.

That's what I thought too. But again, be gone into full on freak out mode. I'll probably be stuck like this until the FOL is in hand or at leas until the PEPC is over.

Here is the address for where the last Chicago PEPC was at. I am sure it will be in the same place. And try priceline.com for your hotel. Do " name your own price"

Worked pretty well for a bunch of us going to Chicago last time.

Regional Office Address
Federal Aviation Administration
Great Lakes Region
O’Hare Lake Office Center
2300 East Devon Avenue
Des Plaines, IL 60018

Best of luck to you all.

Thanks for the info and advice. For those of you flying... the office is only a few minutes away from O'Hare, so you'll want to use ORD as opposed to Midway.

From what I can tell using Google Maps, it looks like the Hyatt is right nextdoor to the office. Is this correct, mikeswise? I'll definitely be using priceline "name your price."

The Google Maps location is incorrect. You have to walk west on E. Devon Street I would say about 3 blocks. The FAA Regional offices are located at O'Hare Lake Office park. The building is very far in back. So it is about a 10 minute hike from the Hyatt Rosemont.
