Hey guys and gals, I know you really love this stuff so on my trip today I brought my camera along and snapped some pics. Hope you enjoy... explanations above each...
This is how we pick up our weather at many of our destinations, most notably our hub Midway. This is ACARS, and we use it to message dispatch, pick up clearances, pick up weather, get out/off/on/in times, and so on. Here is a shot of ATIS.
Here is a shot of our EFIS tubes in flight to Dayton. By using a "second course" selection in this "deviation" mode, you can see the victor airway inbound and outbound courses from the different VORs joining the airway. Sorta allows you to see the "curvature" with the courses.
Here we are taxiing behind an ATA 757 at MDW.
Here is a shot of our cockpit sitting on the ground in MDW. You can see an air cart and lav service cart sitting in the hangar in front of our plane.
Here's a shot of the office at 15,000 feet enroute to Dayton.
Final approach to runway 4R at MDW. Probably the coolest view I see all day.
Yeah, well this is me, enroute MKE-MDW flying down the lakefront.
This is a shot of the front cabin. The lavatory and galley are located up front... you can also see our cool Chicago skyline bulkhead.
Lined up for departure at 4R MDW.
Here is my section of the office.
Cruising out over downtown Chicago on the way to Milwaukee.
Here's a shot of the Chicago skyline coming in for approach to Midway.
Here's a shot of our tail I took while doing a preflight. I still think it's the coolest paint job out there.
Hope you liked these! If there is anything in particular you might like to see, let me know and I'll try to snap a picture of it. I can't always be taking pictures, but I'll try to get something if you want to see it.
